WORKSHOPS

Workshops are an amazing way to grow your customer base and diversify your income. As small business owners ourselves, we are excited to help faciliate your workshop and help you have the best event possible.

We consider workshops as events that involve the creation of something, require set up and tidy up of the materials used, have ticketed attendance or events that are irregular/ a one-off class.

If you are a group who has recurring attendees, regular meetings, or doesn't require any set-up or tidy up of materials, and you just want a meeting space, please go here.

  • 12 People seated at tables

  • 20 People seated, no tables

ACCESSIBILITY

The building we rent is quite old. Unfortunately, this means that the door frames are quite narrow. Based on our measurements, a wheelchair will not fit nor is our toilet room large enough to accomodate a wheelchair. We apologise deeply as we wish to be accessible to all. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to make any structural changes to the building.

REFRESHMENTS

Filter coffee, tea, juice, and water will be available at all workshops. 

Alternative and dairy milks provided.

Treats and buns are also included. We can accomodate for dietary restrictions.

MARKETING

We advertise workshops across our social media platforms as well as local community pages and arts organisations.

LOCATION

We are located in Ballynahinch Town Centre. 

Both paid and free parking are available close by and a PDF map of parking will be provided for and your guests.

GALLERY

Your workshop will be listed on The Workshop Ballynahinch's website and ticket sales will be handled by us. 

The ticket sales will be split 70% / 30% between you, the provider of the workshop, and The Workshop Ballynahinch.

Refreshments are no additional cost unless something other than light bites, traybakes, tea, and coffee is requested. If this is the case, prices will be discussed prior to booking. 

This model means you don't have to have your own website, payment processor, or large social following to put on a successful workshop.

There are retail shelves available for you to display your products during your workshop. Any profits from these sales are entirely yours. 

PRICING

We are excited to host a wide variety of workshops from wood carving to print-making to mobility and wellness. We have a no-glitter policy and encourage all our hosts to be as plastic-free as possible.

 

If there is a legal requirement for your field, we ask that proof of certification be provided. For example, if you want to run a candle-making workshop, your candles must meet CLP legal labelling requirements including UFI codes and required warnings.

In the case of workshops where regulated physical or wellness instruction is being provided, credentials relating to that field will be requested.

Workshops involving babies, such as baby yoga or mum wellness groups are welcome but otherwise, due to safety concerns, no workshops involving children under 15 years of age can be considered at this time.

Complete the Application Form below. We will contact you to discuss any further details as required and provide information on cancellation policies, logistics, etc. 

Upon confirmed booking, we will obtain copies of your public liability insurance (£5 million required), risk assessment, and any pictures for the website listing and social media promotion.

Your form will be kept on file to make future bookings easier and faster.
