From beautiful art for your walls to mending your clothes with flare – embroidery is a fabulous skill to learn!

This is a 2 week Level 1 class for absolute beginners where Dee will take you through the very basics from what needles, thread, and fabrics to work with, how to keep your thread from tangling, to hoop types and getting a nice taut hoop every time.

We’ll practice basic stitches on a sampler before using them to create a beautiful wildflower scene.

This class is spread out over two Fridays and with each session being 2.5 hours long each to allow plenty of relaxed stitching time – don’t worry; as always we’ll have plenty of tea, coffee, and homemade treats to keep you going!

You’ll likely need to finish the project at home, but that’s okay because we’ll be sending you home with a full kit. You’ll also have access to instruction videos in case you need a refresher on any stitches once you get home.

What You’ll Receive:

2 High-Quality Embroidery Hoops that can be reused for future projects

All fabric and thread needed

Sampler pattern & project pattern

Embroidery Scissors

Needle Threader

Full instructions for the project

Access to videos demonstrating stitches

*ACCESSIBILITY* The building we rent is quite old. Unfortunately, this means that the door frames are quite narrow. Based on our measurements, a wheelchair will not fit nor is our toilet room large enough to accomodate a wheelchair. We apologise deeply as we wish to be accessible to all. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to make any structural changes to the building. If you use mobility aides and there is any way we can accommodate them so that you can enjoy our space, please let us know and we will do everything we can!
